In the extrusion process, clay is forced out in the form of a long column, from which raw bricks are then essentially cut. This results in bricks that are smoother and more uniform than those produced by other manufacturing methods.
Depending on whether an additional surface effect is desired, the material is sanded or coated with a granular layer.
